Contribution to the update catalogue of lichenized and lichenicolous fungi in Morocco

1 SUMMARY
The updated catalogue of lichenized and lichenicolous
fungi of Morocco based on literature data highlighted 1211 taxa. One
thousand one hundred and sixty eight (1169) of these correspond to
lichenized fungi and 42 to lichenicolous fungi divided into 21 orders,
75 families, and 241 genera. The highest number of species was
found in the region of Rif with 576 taxa, followed by NW Central Region
CS (559), Central Atlas AM (411), high Atlas GA (309), Anti Atlas AA
(263), SW Central Region CM (180), Southwest SO (108), High Plains AL
(48) and Hammadas H (24), 149 taxon without and unknown
locality.The highest number of species was found in the order of
Lecanorales with 677 taxon, followed by Teloschistales (114),
Verrucariales (100) et Arthoniales (89).
