6. Here is the ENGLISH ABSTRACT: IeCAB 315 B
The study on the sensitivity of Mycosphaerella fijiensis to fungicides was undertaken on 12 industrial plantations of banana tree cv Grande Naine (Musa AAA), divided into six basins of production: Aboisso, Bassam, Dabou, Agboville, Azaguié and Tiassalé; for a total surface of 2576 ha. The sensitivity of the stocks of Mycosphaerella to principal fungicides used was evaluated. The observations were carried out on the conidia after 48 hours of incubation, on fungicides-amended media. Studied doses were: 5 µl/L thiophanate-methyl (benzimidazoles), 0,1 µl/L of propiconazole (triazoles) and azoxystrobin (strobilurins). The evaluation of the effect was carried out under photonic microscop. For benzimidazoles, the rate of the conidia with normal germination is given. For triazoles and the strobilurins, the rates of inhibition of growth of the germinal tube of the conidia were calculated starting from controls on medium without fungicide. The results showed the emergence of resistance to triazoles in 3 basins of production: the mean rates of inhibition however ranged from medium to quite high: 43 % (Aboisso), 54 % (Dabou) and 70 % (Azaguié). The areas of production of Agboville, Bassam and Tiassalé were safe from this phenomenon. The level of sensitivity of the fungus to benzimidazoles and the strobilurins was shown in general enough. However, the level of resistance to the strobilurins was shown very high in the production basins of Dabou (80 %) and of Azaguié (99 %). Unfortunately the study could not provide explanation.
